LONDON — The next round of the Invictus Games, organised by Prince Harry for injured servicemen and women will take place in Orlando, Florida in 2016.
The Prince made the announcement on Tuesday in a video, saying that he always hoped the event could be more than a one-off. The inaugural games took place in London in 2014 and were held in venues that hosted the Olympics.

The 2016 games will be held at Disney's ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex, which has multiple venues including a 9,500-seat baseball stadium and a 5,000-seat multi-purpose arena and can host more than 60 sports.Launched by Prince Harry, who undertook two tours of duty in Afghanistan before ending his military career last month, the 2014 games sought to inspire the recovery and rehabilitation of wounded and injured military personnel. Some 400 competitors from 13 countries were involved in the last event.
The opening ceremony for the 2014 games, which took place at Queen Elizabeth Park, featured a speech by Prince Harry, a poem by Idris Elba, a performance by Coldplay's Chris Martin and a flypast by the Red Arrows.
Next year's games in Orlando will take place from May 8 - 12.
