Why Ambode Cannot Afford To Lose In Lagos – Buhari

The President-elect, General Muhammadu Buhari, on Tuesday, April 7, revealed why it’s mandatory the governorship candidate in Lagos state, Akinwunmi Ambode is sworn in come May 29.
According to Buhari, Lagos State was too important for the All Progressives Congress (APC) to lose to the opposition.
General Buhari disclosed this at the APC rally in Orile area of the state. He urged Lagos residents to vote en masse for the party’s governorship candidate in Lagos State, Mr Akinwunmi Ambode on Saturday.
“Defy all elements, whatever it may be, and vote for APC from top to bottom,’’ he said.
Buhari told the crowd that Lagos, with its huge investments, could not be toyed with.
He said; “Don’t attempt to be on the wrong side of the centre because we are now the centre.
“Tell your neighbours, your relatives and even the opposition party to please bury the hatchet and fall in line and vote for APC,’’ he added.
The President-elect assured the people that they stood to benefit a lot if they voted for the APC. Buhari said that he would prioritize investment in Lagos infrastructure, noting that the state is a “mini Nigeria”.
He said; “Gov. Babatunde Fashola has told me how much the state has been spending to maintain Federal Government infrastructure, including roads, buildings and other institutions.
“I urge Ambode, who will be the next governor of the state, to harass me sufficiently to honour my undertaking,” he said.
Buhari commended Chief Bola Tinubu, an APC National Leader, for all he had done in terms of mobilizing revenue to sustain development in the state. He also commended Fashola for his hard work, commitment to the state and to the country.
“I am extremely impressed, “he said.
The president-elect who arrived Lagos this morning to campaign for APC Guber candidate, Akinwumi Ambode, also met with former President, Olusegun Obasanjo, Lagos State Governor, Tunde Fashola, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Rotimi Amaechi, APC chieftain, Ngige and other dignitaries.

Pastor Chris Explains His Messy Divorce

Founder of Believers Love World Ministry aka Christ Embassy, Pastor Chris Oyakhilome, has finally spoken on the divorce suit filed against him by his wife after days of silence on the issue.

According to the Daily Post, Oyakhilome described the allegations levelled against him as “crazy” and “stupid” and urged his church members to pray for his estranged wife while speaking on Sunday evening during the monthly global communion service of the church.
Oyakhilome, who appeared visibly disturbed during his first few minutes on stage, acknowledged that divorce is un-Biblical but suggested he could consider the option should his wife insist on it.
“I heard that some media houses– especially in Nigeria, are writing some things against me. All sorts of frivolous charges, that’s crazy.
“You have to understand something about a man of God. A man of God is not just someone who worships God or preaches God. A man of God is handpicked by God, set on course by God. If you study the scriptures, you will not find one man of God go against God, sinning against God.
“The only thing you might find will be a man of God, maybe in two different kinds of ways. Moses, for example, when he struck the rock twice, he was provoked by the anger of the people. It was not because he wanted to do something against the Lord. No man of God does something against the Lord.
“Are you hearing me? A man of God is set on a course; there is a type of life that he is given. Then you have a young man, a young prophet; he wasn’t named; he was deceived by another man of God and so he went in a direction that God said ‘don’t go’.

Nigeria President Elect General Muhammadu Buhari’s Ministers List: New Details Emerge

After the opposition All Progressives Congress (APC) won the presidential poll, intensive internal campaigning has started over the formation of the cabinet of the president-elect, Muhammadu Buhari.
Though some candidates have been marked down for definite offices, the selection of those to fill the sought-after “juicy” positions may not be an easy task, as powerful party members and others who gave Buhari support from outside the APC are pushing their own nominees.
According to Daily Post, the former Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) governor, Professor Chukwuma Charles Soludo, may have been offered the Ministry of Finance in the Buhari government by the ex-president Olusegun Obasanjo.
Soludo was a member of the economic team for the Obasanjo government prior to becoming the governor of the CBN.
Many APC leaders are said to be against him. One of the reasons is that Soludo remains a card-carrying member of the All Progressive Grand Alliance.

The other is that it was under Soludo that the banking sector almost collapsed, a situation confirmed by the former CBN chief and Emir of Kano, Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, a loyal supporter of the APC.
The former Lagos state governor, Bola Tinubu, is considered also to be strongly against Obasanjo’s recommendation.
Sources say he had in fact agreed a contract with Buhari prior to the APC presidential primaries regarding appointments to ministerial positions.
Tinubu is said to have drafted an agreement with Buhari, to which the president-elect added his signature.

According to the accord, the former Lagos governor will name nine ministers.
Some of the positions are said to comprise Petroleum, Finance, Works, Federal Capital Territory and Interior.
It is for this reason that Tinubu opposes Soludo as minister of finance.
Soludo is reported to have been persuaded by Obasanjo to accept the nomination
Tinubu is now reportedly pulling the strings for President-elect Buhari’s transition team. Buhari is expected to constitute his transition team which will consist of politicians and private sector players that will enable his smooth takeover from the leaving President Goodluck Jonathan government.
