The party has adopted the lists submitted to it by The Unity Forum (Senate) and The Loyalists (House of Representatives) to heal the wounds and reconcile all after the June 9 controversial elections.

The European Union warned Burundi on Monday it might impose sanctions on those responsible for violence and consider other steps against the aid-reliant nation, plunged into turmoil by the president’s plan to run for a third term.
A grenade attack killed four people on Sunday. President Pierre Nkurunziza’s opponents said his bid for another five years in office is unconstitutional, while he cites a court ruling that found he could run.
Reuters says it is the worst political crisis since Burundi emerged from ethnically fuelled civil war in 2005.

President Muhammadu Buhari has ordered the immediate removal of military check points across the country.
Police are now to take charge of the internal security.
The decision was taken at the meeting the president had with military chiefs at the State House yesterday.
It was the first major meeting the president had on his first day at work at the Presidential Villa, which he moved into on Sunday, 23 days after he was sworn into office.
He operated from the Defence House which he used as the president-elect.
Ministry of Defence Permanent Secretary Alhaji Ismail Aliyu, spoke to reporters after about five hours defence briefing.

President Muhammadu Buhari on Tuesday met with state governors in the Council Chamber of the State House, Abuja.
The enlarged meeting, which started when Buhari arrived the Chamber at 10:11am, will focus on the prevailing cash crunch in the country.
Nigeria Governors’ Forum (NGF) had last Wednesday resolved to demand payment for various federal projects executed by the states from the Federal Government.
The money, they said, will go a long way in settling the backlog of salaries owed workers in their various states.

50-year-old woman arraigned over alleged theft of laptop, TV


A 50-year-old woman, Bukola Awolu, has appeared before an Ebute Meta Chief Magistrates’ Court, Lagos, for allegedly breaking into an apartment and stealing valuables including a laptop valued at N168, 000.
Awolu, a trader, who resides in Oyo State, is facing a two-count charge of stealing and break-in.
The Prosecutor, Insp. Feddy Asu, told the court that the offences were committed on February 26 at No. 36, Niger St., off Odaliki Street, Ebute Meta.

While delivering a Ramadan Lecture at the Women Development Centre, Abuja yesterday June 22nd, Aregbesola said his administration borrowed N25billion from banks to support the federal allocations to pay salaries but that the banks have since stopped lending the state money.

Mr. Gboyega Famodun, chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has said that the helicopter purchased by the administration of Governer Rauf Aregbesola for security purpose will not be sold. 
This was said during a press conference on Monday.
Famodun said the purpose of acquiring the helicopter was for surveillance so as to combat the security challenges that the state was facing.According to Punch, Famodun explained that the activities of criminals in the state had led to the closure of some businesses  which will invariably affect the economy of the state.

He disagreed with the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on their advice that the helicopter be sold in order to solve the salary crises in the state calling it ignorant.
He called on the president to look into the unpaid salary issue and consider bailing out states just as the federal government had stepped in to help banks with N4tn when they were going through crises too.
