Rivers’ Commission: PDP Thugs Came For Blood - Witnesses Testify
The Rivers State Commission of Inquiry probe into the pre electoral violence committed in the state continued today.
The Commission was directed by current Rivers State governor, Chibuike Amaechi to investigate the violence which occurred in the state during the weeks before the first vote was cast.

Thirteen witnesses were called on to bear their testimonies on what occurred during the campaign trail.
One witness, 69 year-old APC community worker, George Oreremie explained that on January 10th, 2015 he and 15 others men were attacked by unidentified men with cutlasses.

Anenih, has demanded for the resignation of Alhaji Adamu Muazu, and
the National Working Committee.
Anenih, in a statement issued on Sunday titled: “Put the party first”, a copy obtained by Vanguard, asserted that Mu’azu and the BoT committee should resigned following the defeat suffered in the hands of the All Progressives Congress, APC, at the just concluded March 28 Presidential election.
The former Minister of Women Affairs questioned why some party members will be thinking of personal power instead of thinking of a way to come back after the woeful defeat they suffered in the hands of the APC.

Okogie Throws Weight Behind Buhari To Succeed
Cardinal priest, and formerly Archbishop of Lagos in
the Roman Catholic Church, Anthony Olubunmi Okojie has urged
President-elect to give Nigerians a taste of good governance when he’s
inaugurated on May 29.
Speaking on Sunday, the catholic bishop emeritus urged the President-elect to focus on providing quality governance on assumption of office, and pay less attention to distractions.
The cleric gave this advice in a statement made available to NAN as he also urged the President-elect to adhere to the blueprint and road-map of his party that had brought about growth and development in the states where they had been implemented.

“It is heartening to know that he has made anti-corruption campaign the metier of his administration.
“In order for this not to run out of steam, he must build institutions, both formal and informal, that will fight corruption and ensure Nigeria becomes a society of law abiding citizens.
“His transition team and board of advisers should shun the temptation to secure their selfish interest and come up with pragmatic action plan that will help the president-elect realise his goal,’’ he said.
