A Renewable Energy expert, Prof. Sylvester Egwu, has advised the President-elect, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari, to tackle the epileptic power supply in the country by dismantling all generators in Aso Rock Villa. He also urged Buhari the President elect to order the Power Holding Company, PHCN, and Distribution Companies, DISCOs, to give the Villa power supply to save huge money spent on generating sets.
Egwu said that Nigeria as the giant of Africa has no justifiable reason to be in perpetual darkness, when it had all the potential to be energy sufficient and even export electricity outside the country.

NDLEA Nabs Pastor With Heroin

Officials of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) at the Akanu Ibiam International Airport, Enugu, have arrested a Lagos pastor for drug trafficking, according to The Nation.
Making known details of the arrest to the press, Mr. Nsikak-Abasi Udoh, the NDLEA commander at the Enugu Airport, said the suspect, Daniel Lanre Akintola, 43, was found with 1.978kg of heroin concealed in a false bottom of his luggage.

SpaceX’s Dragon spacecraft built to bring humans to orbit took flight for the first time Wednesday.
Wednesday’s short, uncrewed test in Florida marks a big milestone on SpaceX’s road to ferrying NASA astronauts to the International Space Station in the next two years.
Even though Dragon was in the air for less than two minutes, the test should help SpaceX engineers gather key information about a potentially life-saving part of the spaceflight system.
