Lesser Hajj: 'Nigerian embassy did not snub Pres. Buhari's family'

Yesterday Leadership reported that the Nigerian embassy in Saudi Arabia side-stepped protocol by giving preference to former VP Namadi Sambo and his family over that of Pres. Buhari when both arrived for the lesser Hajj (Umrah) in Saudi Arabia. They have now retracted the report. Read below

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ekiti State has commended President Muhammadu Buhari for approving bailout to states owing backlog of workers’ salaries.
It is said the measure would relieve Nigerian families from poverty and provide the energy needed for the challenge of returning the nation to the path of productivity.
The party also hailed the President for restoring confidence in the economy, saying the feats achieved within a month of his administration signposted the building of hope for Nigeria to rise again.

In-coming Super Eagles coach, Sunday Oliseh, has told officials he is ready to accept the same five million Naira (more than $21,000) a month salary his predecessor, Stephen Keshi, earned.
The ex-Eagles captain is due to fly into Abuja on Tuesday evening and later meet with the Nigeria Football Federation technical committee headed by Felix Anyansi-Agwu, africanFootball.com reports.

12 migrants drown in Mediterranean, 500 others rescued:The Nation



Italian coast guards on Friday in Rome confirmed the death of 12 migrants on Thursday when their overcrowded rubber dinghy sank off the coast of Libya.
It said no fewer than 500 others were rescued in the latest episodes in the Mediterranean migrant crisis.

Hackers are infecting computers with malware using bogus emails claiming to be Adobe security alerts. The emails exploit a recently uncovered vulnerability in the Flash software often used by web browsers to view video, and feature an "important Flash update" subject line.
The campaign was uncovered by Volexity founder Steven Adair and reportedly uses one of the vulnerabilities revealed in the June 6 Team Hacking leaks.
