The outgoing and the incoming presidents reportedly held a private meeting on Wednesday night.
According to Vanguard, Goodluck Jonathan and Muhammadu Buhari met behind the closed doors of the Presidential Villa in Abuja to discuss the details of the handover.
The Nation adds that the May 6 meeting started around 9pm and lasted just 30 minutes. There were no media present, and there was no official statement on the results.
Interestingly, when contacted, Mallam Garba Shehu, the director of media and publicity of the APC presidential campaign council, said although he heard there was a meeting, he could not confirm it.
He was quoted as saying by The Punch:
“I heard there was a meeting but I have no idea where or when it held or what was discussed.
It is already the second time the president-elect Buhari had visited President Jonathan this month.

Jonathan characterized the April 24 discussion as a “fruitful one” and “in the interest of the country”.
About a month ago the two met at the State House. Not much information was provided about that event either. But the agenda was believed to be the upcoming power transition scheduled for May 29.
Meanwhile the All Progressives Congress has recently accused the federal government of hindering the handover. In particular, the APC lamented that Jonathan’s administration delayed the giving of handover notes despite their promise.
Jonathan, for his part, alleged that Buhari was trying to run a parallel government.
