The All Progressives Congress politician and pastor thanked Nigerians for their love and support that led to the party success at the recently
concluded general elections, Vanguard reports.
Osinbajo said that God saw the APC through the campaign period and eventually gave them a gift of victory.
“We were campaigning for over four months on air, road, rail, everywhere and God saw us through, protected us and kept us from harm. And on March 28, God crowned our efforts. I thank God for the special gift and I thank God for marking me out as a person and giving me the position of the vice president-elect.
“This is a fulfillment of Daddy G.O’s prophecy earlier this year that among RCCG ministers, governors, ministers will emerge from the Redeemed Christian Church of God and they will be used by God.”
In a recent development Osinbajo claimed that his victory at the March 28 presidential poll was a fulfillment of the prophecy by Pastor E.A. Adeboye, RCCG general overseer.
It should be noted that after Osinbajo’s emergence as vice presidential candidate,many RCCG members reacted positively to choice. The move added even more weight to the APC popularity, as many said that it was a good idea to pick a pastor as Muhammadu Buhari’s running mate.
The time will show. Meanwhile both the outgoing and the incoming administrations are actively preparing for the power handover ceremony to be held on May 29.
