Emulate Mandela - PDP Advice General Muhammadu Buhari

Amid crisis rocking its camp, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has sent a word of advice to General Muhammadu Buhari as all is now set for the president elect’s inauguration on May 29.
Speaking with journalists yesterday, the Deputy National Chairman of the party, Uche Secondus advised the president-elect to be a father on issues brought before him and avoid taking sides with any party, This day reports.
Citing one of Africa’s foremost leaders, the PDP urged Buhari to always adopt the principles of the Late Nelson Mandela.
Mr. Secondus said the president-elect should emulate the nature of the former President of South Africa and deal with them with passion of a father.

Excerpts from the statement reads; “Buhari is the president-elect and indeed the father of all. He
should exercise caution and restraint in some issues, especially when such issues are still in court.
“The president-elect should emulate Mandela who assumed office as president of South Africa at such a critical time in the history of South.

“He is the president -elect and soon to be sworn in as the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and not the president of the APC”.

Meanwhile, a former president of the country, General Olusegun Obasanjo has also recommended a way forward for the president-elect, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari in governing a new Nigeria.
