In an exclusive interview with TVC news, Buhari said Nigerians should expect change from June 1 this year, noting that his administration and his party, the All Progressives Congress (APC) will live up to its manifesto commitments, which he said was carefully put together.

Buhari, who is expected to be sworn in as Nigerian president on May 29, said this in the exclusive interview which was published on the TVC’s Youtube channel on April Wednesday, April 22, 2015.
The former military ruler also stated that his administration will parade technocrats and people of integrity, noting that people of questionable character will not be allowed in the APC cabinet.
While campaigning, Buhari made many promises which some analysts predict might be difficult to achieve. The retired general promised to publicly declare his assets and liabilities and encourage his political appointees to do the same.
He promised to review and implement audit recommendations by Nigeria Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative (NEITI).
He also said he would encourage proactive disclosure of information by government institutions in the spirit of the Freedom of Information Act.
Another of his most popular promises was to present a national anti-corruption strategy to fight against corruption.
Buahri also promised to go all out against Boko Haram insurgents, though he stopped short of promising to rescue the kidnapped Chibok girls.
