Reports reaching us inform that an angry mob has burnt down the palace of the Emir of Kashere Town in Gombe State.
Kashere is the home town of Danjuma Goje, a former governor of the state, who also recently won re-election as a Senator to represent Gombe central on the platform of the All Progressives Congress, APC.
A source in the town who declined to be named for security reasons said the palace was burnt down by irate mob who suspected that three ballot boxes were kept there.

“Three ballot boxes have gone missing after the election and people suspect that they have been taken to the Emir’s Palace to be stuffed with thumb printed ballot papers,” the source said.
A similar situation occurred in Lagos when the of Oba Akiolu of Lagos was threatened that his palace will be burnt to the ground due to the death statements issuded to the Ibos in the state.
