Despite his failure to pay state workers for the past seven months, Governor Rauf Aregbesola of Osun state has said that his administration has performed excellently well since his assumption of office for a second term in August 2014, Daily Post reports.

The governor in a statement issued in Osogbo, on Tuesday, June 9, by his media aide, Semiu Okanlawon, during a courtesy visit by the state’s Action Strategy and Development Group, said his government has performed creditably well despite the financial shortage it is experiencing.

Senator Saraki 'Elected' Senate President While APC Senators Were Meeting With Buhari

Officials of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) have reportedly surrounded the residence of the Ogun state senator-elect, Buruji Kashamu.

According to Channels TV, the drug enforcers are set to extradite Kashamu to the US to answer to drug charges levelled against him.
Recall that Kashamu Buruji sued the chairman of the National Drug Laws Enforcement Agency and 11 others over an alleged plot to extradite him to the United States of America to face trial on alleged drug-related offences.

2015 Budget Gets Jonathan's Approval

With just over a week before his official handover, the outgoing President, Goodluck Jonathan, has approved the sum of N4.5 trillion ($22.6 billion) budget for 2015.
According to a statement credited to the president’s spokesman, Dr. Reuben Abati, the budget, which was by the National Assembly in late April, was approved by the Nigerian president on Wednesday, devoid of the usual fanfare.
